GearView functions as a companion application for the Stages SB20 smart bike, providing users with real-time data visualization through a dedicated iOS device. It displays virtual gears alongside metrics such as cadence, power output, and heart rate, offering a comprehensive overview of workout performance.

<li>The ability to designate "favorite gears" suited for steady-state rides, high-intensity efforts, and maximal sprints, facilitating quick adjustments during workouts.</li>
<li>Advanced smoothing algorithms for power and cadence data to ensure more stable and accurate readings.</li>
<li>An "HRM relay" feature that transmits heart rate data to other applications, enabling the use of a single HR monitor across multiple platforms.</li>
<li>Historical visualization through graphs depicting power and heart rate trends over time.</li>
<li>"Zone graphs" that illustrate time spent in various workout intensity zones for both power and heart rate metrics.</li>
<li>A battery test function allowing users to assess the charge levels of connected fitness devices prior to commencing exercise sessions.</li>
<li>Compatibility with iOS 15.0 and later; older devices can also run GearView, reallocating newer devices like iPads, iPhones, or Apple TVs for primary workout applications.</li>
